Born in Illinois, Joe has lived in Rochester, MN; Sydney, Australia; Oxford, England; Ithaca, NY; and a bunch of places in North Carolina. He finally found his permanent (for now) home in Minneapolis, MN.
His never-ending curiosity extends to technology as well. He's worked with everything from the PDP-8, COBOL, 68000 assembler, and MacPascal on the original Macintosh (high-five if you remember that) to Java for the Eclipse project and PHP and Javascript. And somewhere in there, he took a 7-year hiatus from technology to work as a professional photojournalist.
When not doing any of these things, Joe creates eclectic electronic music that makes his cat jumpy, continues his quest to taste every root beer ever brewed, and loves spending time with his betrothed, who says he is a bit of a "chatty Cathy."
