Jessica's love of technology began at an early age. Literally. Her first memory is of her and her dad playing Lode Runner on his Commodore 64. As a teenager, she got into open source software and started hacking online multiplayer games, quickly discovering that she had much more fun programming than playing. To no one's surprise she majored in computer science in college, where she applied her smarts and exercised her skills by developing interactive web applications for her university's first official web team. Since then, Jessica has worked as a software developer, system and network administrator, and general purpose geek. Without a doubt, her true passion is coding.
Jessica lives with her husband, David, and their evil cat, Neska, who aspires to take over the world. When not sitting in front of a computer, she can be found slinging clay on the pottery wheel, fixing up her house of doom, and teaching small children to fist bump.
