Font Making Workshop - May 6th at 2pm

Learn the basics of font creation 
through development of a real live font with master Alphabetician Chank
 Diesel. Kick up your design capabilities with a new understanding of type design 
at this hands-on font-making workshop.  Participants will work together using readily available 
resources to create a fresh new alphabet, then we'll scan it in and turn
it into a font in real time while you watch and help.

Learn the basics of Fontlab˙ font editing software through the practical
 creation of a new font, which will be released as a free font at
 Chank.com. We'll be filming a video at the event, too, to help show other
 people how the font was made. The event will be hosted at the new offices
 of Clockwork Active Media Systems on E. Hennepin Ave, in an old auto
service station that's been completely renovated into a state-of-the-art
 tech center.
