CLOCKWORK HAS BEEN NAMED GREAT PLACE TO WORK

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Clockwork Active Media Systems has been named one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's "Great Places to Work." This award, bestowed during a period of rapid growth, is regarded as a real badge of honor. Managing Director, Meghan Wilker, explains, "Our business is a high-stress, deadline-driven operation. To succeed in that environment and still be a 'great place to work' is quite an accomplishment."

"We love it that our employees love working here. If they don't, we simply beat them harder," pronounced CTO Kurt Koppelman. "I've never seen a morale problem that couldn't be remedied with a nice, stout piece of lumber."

Striking a more serious tone, President Nancy Lyons explained, "It's about respect, plain and simple. Respect for our employees, both as professionals and as individuals, is a core value at Clockwork. We are driven by good thinking, not by an organization chart or a pecking order. Employees are encouraged to step up, which in turn yields better service to our customers."

Respect for employees at Clockwork is evident in several areas, but most especially in the flexibility it offers employees. Work can be (and often is) accomplished at nights and on weekends, but this is less about overtime than it is about flex time. "Our employees rarely have to deal with traffic jams, because they simply choose to drive in during non-peak hours," explained CFO Michael Koppelman.

At Clockwork, "I'm working from home" does not mean "lounging on the couch and checking email occasionally," it really does mean "working from home." Telecommuting is a common and productive activity at Clockwork; employees are smart and responsible enough not to abuse the privilege.

CCO Chuck Hermes expounded further, "Creativity does not flow on demand, it cannot be forced. We allow our employees to work where and how they are most inspired. This, frankly, leads to better work."

Clockwork, it should be noted, is also a great company to work with. "Our customers love us," says Lyons, "because we will not rest until they do. The flexibility we extend to our employees is predicated upon giving our customers great service, and every person here knows it."
