Work can be (and often is) accomplished at nights and on weekends, but this is less about overtime than it is about flex time. "Our employees rarely have to deal with traffic jams, because they simply choose to drive in during non-peak hours," explained CFO Michael Koppelman.

At Clockwork, "I'm working from home" does not mean "lounging on the couch and checking email occasionally," it really does mean "working from home." Telecommuting is a common and productive activity at Clockwork; employees are smart and responsible enough not to abuse the privilege.

CCO Chuck Hermes expounded further, "Creativity does not flow on demand, it cannot be forced. We allow our employees to work where and how they are most inspired. This, frankly, leads to better work."
