In May 2009, I added Clockwork as a Foursquare location before one of our spring parties. It's been fun watching the number of users steadily increase over the last year, and seeing all the cool ways people are using it. (But, seriously — what's up with people adding their homes as "locations"? That's just weird!)
It's also been fascinating to watch businesses tap into Foursquare with special Mayor offers (which are now an official part of the Foursquare service offering).

Sometime mid-December 2009, Apple quietly redesigned their Application store in iTunes. This is the kind of crazy thing you can do when you have tons of identically formatted content. If the App store was a WordPress blog, it would be as if they had installed a new theme.

Still, there are a lot of things you can test for, and best practices to help guide you.

While working on a Facebook Page for a client project recently it came to my attention that beyond the great differences between Groups and Pages, there are also differences between Pages and Pages.

On Wednesday, Dries Buytaert announced that Drupal Gardens is now available in private beta. Drupal is an open source content management system (CMS) built by and for the developer community. However, it is difficult to install, configure, and deploy for the average user—virtually every site requires a collection of third-party modules to provide all the functionality needed. Dries, Drupal’s founder, aims to change that by making Drupal’s functionality available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
