- Employee Growth and Development
- Health and Safety
- Employee Recognition
"We've worked hard to build a company with a healthy working environment," said President, Nancy Lyons. "We've always felt like Clockwork is a psychologically healthy place to work -- it's great to have objective proof of that fact."
Clockwork prides itself on creating an environment in which employees are treated as adults and can enjoy a flexible schedule and maintain a healthy work - life balance. Employees regularly work from home, timeshift their schedules, bring their dogs and kids to work, eat lunch together, solve problems and work collaboratively, and enjoy an open work environment where the lines of communication between management and employees are always open. These things, and more, contributed to this award.
"I've always wondered if it was crazy for me to love working here so much," mused intern, Kyle Meyer. "I guess it's not."

We won the Outstanding Achievement in Website Development award by the Interactive Media Awards™ for our work on the Medtronic TC Kids Marathon Web Site
Clockwork Active Media Systems, an interactive development shop in Minneapolis that is well known for its strategic thinking; technical innovation and expertise; and simple, effective interface design., today announced that it has been awarded Outstanding Achievement in Website Development by the Interactive Media Awards™ for its work on the Medtronic TC Kids Marathon Web Site. The honor recognizes that the project met and surpassed the basic standards of excellence that comprise the web’s most professional work. The site was honored specifically for excellence in Advocacy.
The judging consisted of various criteria, including design, usability, innovation in technical features, standards compliance and content. In order to win this award level, the site had to meet strict guidelines in each area — an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each quarter.
Charles Hermes, Creative Director of Clockwork Active Media Systems, said, "It's an honor to have our work recognized by the Interactive Media Awards. We feel strongly that our projects are world-class examples of how the Internet can be used to enhance a company's message and branding. This accolade is further proof of this fact."
