This month's wallpaper is about playful discovery. In a world where messages are frequently oversimplified and the obvious often trumps the obscure, I feel that opportunities to invoke people's natural curiosities are often passed over. By purposefully making people stop, look, and think, designers have the chance to invite viewers to play and become involved and invested in an unfolding experience.
I wanted to create something that could be interpreted differently based on viewers' perspective. Messages don't have to be shrouded in mystery to be interesting and intriguing, but I believe that by beckoning the views, a message can become a two-directional conversation rather than a command: "What do you see?" From a distance the message appears clear, but as one gets closer, finer details emerge that invite the viewer to redefine the image and even create their own meaning.

We're constantly talking to each other about what's new: a project we're working on, a new site we're obsessed with, or some other geekery. We figured, why not share those conversations with you?
Welcome to our collective mind.
